Research Interests

The one thing that I love more than anything is designing stuff. I am passionate about automobiles and got a chance to pursue both my passion and love through the Formula SAE team of my college, where I got the opportunity to build and race an actual formula car prototype.

I would be really interested in working in areas related to, but not limited to product design and development, failure analysis and its simulation and modelling, automotive engineering, energy systems, solid mechanics and acoustics.

Shreyansh Mridul

I am a Final Year Undergraduate student at the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur (IIT Kanpur). I am a highly motivated individual with a penchant to consistently explore and learn beyond my primary field of study, which is Mechanical Engineering. I believe that there is so much more to learn than just what I'm taught as a mechanical engineering undergraduate.

As a consequence of this, I have, over the course of my college years, taken courses and worked in areas related to programming, electronics, electrical engineering and am pursuing a minor in aerospace engineering. This tendency is not just limited to academics though, and I have worked in several projects related to product design, management and academic research as well, both individually and as a part of a group. I feel that one's development should not be limited only to achieving academic excellence. To supplement that, one should aim for holistic development of self, which, for me, includes personality, leadership, teamwork, communication skills, the ability to handle pressure and think on one's feet.
